Visual Rhetoric of Black and White Photography Art in Portrait Photos Using Analog Cameras. The visual rhetoric of photography is a study of photographic works that have complex meanings and are able to show reality. The use of analog cameras that are rich in history and have complex technical stages to get meaningful black and white photography results. This research discusses how to produce portrait photos using analog cameras and read the visual meaning of the portrait photos using the practice-based research method by carrying out the process of creating works and literature studies to further examine the visual rhetoric of photographic art. The material object in this research is Mbah Jumat, one of the weavers at Tenun Lurik Kurnia, located at Wetan No. 133, Panggungharjo, Sewon, Bantul Regency. The results of this research show that black and white photography, portraits photography, and analog cameras in historical meaning become a single unit of complexity that can provide a message in visual rhetoric.
